Dr. Sarah Racicot graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics (Distinction) from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. During her time at St. F.X., as both club president and team captain, she helped to establish a Women’s Varsity Hockey Program. While playing, she received CIAU Academic All-Canadian honours in1998 and 1999.
Following university, Dr. Sarah attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) in 2004. She was the recipient of the Don Augustin Tanco Memorial Award for athletic and scholastic achievement. While attending CMCC, Dr. Sarah also graduated from a McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program and became a Trigenics Practitioner through the Trigenics Institute of Myoneural Medicine. She has also received certification in Custom Orthotic Therapy and Advanced Foot Biomechanics & Orthotic Therapy.
Through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology she became a Certified Fitness Consultant and a Personal Trainer with the Canadian Personal Trainers Network in 1998. Her love for sports, in particular hockey, has taken her from being a National Champion with Team Ontario in 1993 to the final provincial selection camp for Team Canada in 1994. Although academic pursuits sidelined her involvement in hockey, she enjoys teaching skating lessons and being a hockey mom!
Dr. Sarah is passionate about and pursues continuing education in the areas of sport injury rehabilitation and helping women with pregnancy related discomfort. She maintains an active family based practice and is enthusiastic about educating and empowering individuals to take control of their health. She is a mother of two children who have been receiving chiropractic treatment since the moment they were born and believes that everyone can benefit from chiropractic!
